I've been quit from snuff for 27 days now. Been feeling a lot better jaw hurts occasionally and face tingle on side I always held at times but goes away. But when does my whole mouth go back to normal color? Both my cheeks are still white as hell. My lesions are healing well but the white hasn't subsided at all. Does anyone know when it will fade? Thanks
Salty,
It may take a while for your mouth to heal. Warm salt water swishing helps, water down hydrogen peroxide and Listerine.
I would have give your mouth a couple month plus to heal, I would schedule a dentist appt for the end of September, cleaning and check-up, good peace of mind.
That first dentist appointment is scary. To be honest, I haven't done mine yet either.

Want to commit with me to a date to get an appointment scheduled by?
Hell yea bud whats your schedule looking like whens a good date for you?
All scheduled up. September 9th is the date.

As an aside, this is why staying involved in this site is so important. I drifted in here to try to help others and the next thing I know, I'm the one getting helped. Pretty awesome!

Thanks

^^ great team work gentlemen!!!
The best part is you are no longer doing any damage, just healing.
Also if you don't have a sonicare, get one they help a lot and if you think too expensive, think about how much you would spend on chew? a good investment for your mouth and teeth!
I did it early on in my quit boys (2 weeks) after chewing for 18 years. It was some scary shit but well worth it. I walked out of the office with some work to be done but with one less thing to worry about during this time.
Thank you all, I'm going to keep caring for my mouth and plan a apt soon

Day 38. The fog is gone, anxiety is gone, I feel fantastic, I'm sleeping, working out hard, I couldn't be happier. Fuck you tobacco. Keep on driving guys. There IS a brighter day :D

I dupped about a tin a day (a little less) for 1.5 years. Make sure you have a good support network!
Good on you for making it this far!

Looking through your post history, it doesn't look like you're on roll with any group. If you stopped using Nicotine 38-days ago, or 7/10, you're part of October 2015. Head on over that way, post roll and introduce yourself. I'm sure the funbags would be happy to have you with them.

As to the fog and anxiety, be careful. Enjoy the good day, but beware that those things can still swing by for a visit every now and again. Keep doing what you've done to get this far and you'll do great!

General quit discussion, questions, answers, etc.

Guests looking to quit looking for answers are welcome.
Hi everyone, Ive just quit and joined the site. Quite date 08/15/15. I need some help finding a group. Thanks BP
Congratulations on making the best decision of your life!

Since you quit yesterday, November is your group. Head on over there, and get your self on roll. If you quit yesterday, today is Day 2.

Grab yourself some seed or something, drink lots of water and buckle up tight. This isn't easy, but it is very necessary. I'd recommend poking around the sites. Read some intros or HOF speeches. Check out some of the other groups. Mosey over to live chat and get to know some folks.

Welcome!

HowgoodHopefully this works for good now! The Mrs isn't too keen on kissing me with a mouth full of wormdirt. lol I'll try atomic fireballs! Anything sounds good to me!
I mostly just chewed gum myself. I settled in on the little blister packs of Dentyne Ice. Other folks use sunflower seeds, jolly ranchers, etc. There's also an assortment of fake chews that are all nicotine free. I never tried them, but some folks in my quit group really found them useful. There more info over here complete with reviews.

Drink lots of water. That helps a lot.
