See here is the problem with stress and using a dump truck full of dip will not make the situation any better. You are only adding several additional problems with addiction, you add self loathing because you cant keep a promise to yourself, you add withdrawal and to avoid it you have to keep your cells fed or they will scream which adds more problems. You divide your attention of focusing on the problem with keeping the addiction cycle fed. See there is nothing in the formula that has relief at all. Its a fuckin lie that nicotine calms nerves if anything it revs them up and takes you out of the game. You need to get your mind right then you have a chance to work on your quit.
Complacency sucks, one moment of it is the difference between being a user and a quitter....OIB

What happened?

Why did it happen?

What are you going to do differently this time?
These need to be addressed Ronnie.

I posted in your "new" intro thread, a mod will merge them later on. We have a single intro to record our progress and look back.
Already been addressed a couple posts below.

I had one of my best friends pass away very abruptly he was only 20 years old.
I have the right mindset and all distractions replaced.
I wouldn't call this addressing the 3 questions. I am sorry for your loss of your friend but nicotine won't prevent life from happening. I won't brow beat it to death because it will really come down to one question.

Can you be a man of integrity and keep that promise today?

Post early and keep your word, some +1's will add up and things will start making sense again.
Yes I will. Instead of dealing with my problems head on i hid from them by using tobacco as my crutch was how i handled stressful situations. Thats as close to addressing the problem as i can get.

Hey there Ronnie, glad your here.

Did you post roll with November '13 group?

If you did you owe them an explanation why you caved.

Time will certainly get away from you, I know I registered for forum access to the site back in June 2012, I didn't get around to posting roll quit until May 2013. Then I decided to cave and let a few months go by, I quit on July 16, I wasted just over a year finger banging the can some more.

I can tell you, don't waste another day. Check out the welcome center above, you probably already have if you've been lurking around the last couple months, I know I did......

You'll never regret a day quit, I can promise you that.

It's day one First day I thought I was going to quit almost two months ago when I first joined. But in a couple of days I left the site and jumped back on the can. Looking back at that I feel foolish this time it's completely different and for the first time ever I actually feel good about this quit I feel at peace happy and motivated. Day one and I know there is still a long road ahead. But I can't wait to start this new journey in my life and to quit with all of you.
Ronnie,
I am glad to see that you came to your conclusion to come back. I am not gonna lie to you, but you missed out man. I wish I could have come over there taken that tin from you and made sure that you QUIT then. However, I am not your momma and you needed to decide for your self.

I posted into your original intro as a MOD (hint hint EVIL) will combine the two later.

PM me if you would like a phone number to keep to aid in your accountability. I will be more than happy to talk you off of the ledge at anytime.

I'm sorry to hear that about your friend. But all the best to you going into this for round #2 with the right mindset  distractions removed! I'm trusting that your changes going forward will also include posting roll, since 2 days after stopping last time that was it. I post every morning. Not because I think I need to, though I do, but because it's my insurance policy against dipping that day. I get up in the morning I'm 99.9% sure of what the day will entail  I should sail through fine now that I'm at day 58 right? Maybe. Maybe not. Theres always the chance that something terrible  unexpected could happen which could make me just one bad decision away from a cave. But if I've posted roll for the morning, that optionis completely off the table. No matter what happens in the day.

I haven't been on this site in a long time. I last posted roll in august somewhere in the august 23 range. I made it two additional days after that. I recently got a message from a supporter on here who quite frankly gave me a little kick in the ass that I needed. After a month back on the can I'm now at 16 hours free. This time I will quit.

Don't let your co-workers bum you out. I work with 4 guys that dip, they give me hell, they try to hand me their dip cans everyday, but I just tell them to f*ck off and to check out KTC for help. I would like to think that their temptations might have helped me stay quit so far. Keep in touch, hang in there!!!
