Yeah I am still figuring stuff out. We are talking about not going. Funny one day she is like "not my problem" and the next she is all supportive. I did have her read the support article and she was pretty good to me for a few days after. Unexpected BJ's, leaving me the fuck alone when she could clearly see I was pissy or craving. Now all that has changed.

Like I told you, get at least 5 numbers of guys in your group and text them that night. We helped a quitter in our group, Phat Pauly, make it through a very similar evening. We just kept texting him and he made it through.

I still say don't go. Piss on her. 2 can play this game.

Avoiding triggers early on such as parties, drinking, and former dipping buddies early is certainly solid advice.

Look at it another way for a second. You are quit, you have MADE the decision to quit, you have posted roll. Its all about the decision my friend.....nothing can change that. You are quit, done, finished with it.

And if one of them sumbeeches hand you a can....gladly accept and dump on the ground. I guarantee they won't do it again.

Ms brilliant did iit again. She just does not understand the crap I am going through with the quit. She signed us up to go to a fucking party where all the males will be 1 drinking and 2 chewing. What the fuck is she thinking. I swear she has figured out ways to piss me off every 20 minutes today. Fucking bullshit
You can always tell her you're not going - but I'd look at it as a challenge. If you can man up and make it through that mine field now, you'll always have that to hold on to for the rest of your quit. If you think something is difficult in the future you can think, "this isn't that bad - I went to the fucking party with my wife, completely raging at her for making me go, and still didn't drink (if that's what you need to do) and didn't take a pinch."

I would suggest avioding the alcohol at the partay.

Also, don't listen to Lost - I'm borderline retarded. 'Crazy'

John,

I was having similar problems with the wife. If you have not had her read the "spousal support: how you can help" article... That is a MUST read.

Spousal Support: how you can help

My wife read that and there was a huge difference immediately. Of course she will slip or forget and bitch at me for something, but generally she is very supportive.

Yeah she got back home and was all lovey. Sucks cause I knew I was not being a dick. I generally know when I am being a dick and just can not seem to stop when I am lol. I can be a major prick I know but damn for her to use it against me kinda ticks me off

You know there are good days and bad days but I can not see any good when your wife is bitchy at the same time you are. My wife has now figured out how to use my quit against me. Any time she is acting stupid and I get on to her I am the dick because of my quit. Bad thing was I was not even stressin. I simply told her how to put the child seat in the car cause she had it wrong and she some how turns it into I am a dick WTF...
John, that has nothing to do with quitting. We are always dicks, especially when we tell them they are doing something wrong...

My wife blames all of our fights on me - I'm being a jerk because I don't want to go back to work, etc. Her telling you that you're acting like a jerk because of your quit is just another way for her to push blame. So, in a round-about way, this is supportive of your quit - there are plenty of things you can do now without dipping, including getting in trouble with your wife! 'stick'

thats why I did not even tell my wife I had quit for the first 15 days. I still use the dip rage excuse here at day 207. Actually used it yesterday when I broke my daughter's i-pod and made the old lady go buy her a new one.

hey we are going family camping this weekend and i will not be able to post but I will not be having access to chew nor do I want start again. will not be able to post to roll call with no phone service. (yeah we will be out in the boonies) anyways - suggestions?
I camp a lot also and it is rare to find a spot these days with zero phone service so try and text me your promise for the day and I will get you on roll call. I can only do this after you text me.
I sent you my number earlier.
hahaha yeah that flat land might have cell service but I literally can loose it 30 minutes from my house lol. if I have service I will text it to you, if not then all i can do it pledge to not dip.
Mike is right. Text someone. There is a story on here about a guy that was camping. Hiked 5 miles or something like that in the snow to the one place he could get cell reception and text in his promise. If you want to get your name on the roll call you will, simple as that.

And yes it IS that important. Up to you....
Posting roll is not optional. It is your word that you will not use nicotine for that day and that day only. I know this one simple fact has been the only thing that kept someone from caving. You find a fucking way to get it done. Accept nothing less from yourself, because we don't.
