Hey bro, just so you know... Those are hollow words until you man up and quit.  We all said "I will quit Saturday" a thousand times and it is BS.   Don't mean much to me.  Hope you are a man of your word.

During the week I am surrounded by friends who dip, when I hit the weekend I will be able to overcome the hardest part for me without being surrounded by other kids with a dip in constantly
Ok, Hope to see you Saturday!
What happens on Monday when you are around your friends?
Ultimately, we all have more confidence in you than you do. We know you can do this, but, sadly, you don't. Gutless quit whimpers won't work. They will continually end in failure.

You need to ROAR. Say "I AM QUIT DAMN IT!!!" Out loud, with pride, say it. Even if it doesn't ring true at first, eventually, it will.

The scene ends one of two ways...

In the morning he comes back ... screaming... "I am quit, I am quit!!" and we all start the Rudy slow clap with tears of joy in our eyes, or,

He posts again on Saturday, but only makes it til lunch because it's oh so hard to watch sports without a dip.

Monday is Labor Day. Not going to be with them. After that I have the first three days under my belt, which are the hardest for me

So everybody knows. Planning on starting the quit on saturday. I have received PM's to help me with posting roll. Cutting back to get used to the less nicotine. Cutting back is helping me because I am not constantly craving a new dip a half hour after I take one out. Starting saturday I plan on being 100% tobacco/nicotine free and will be posting roll once saturday comes.
so slow pain over days versus just get it over with. Like has been stated here time and time again you don't switch to beer when you have been knocking back whiskey to quit.

So is this guy quit or is he still sitting around all butt hurt in a pool of bloody shit. 18 dude really for you to quit now by 23 your odds for cancer are equal to that of a non tobacco user. Which means pretty close to zero. Brothers correct me if I am wrong on this. I have only had contact with one guy about your age that should make it on the train....

Trev, I admire you for coming on these boards, there are few at your age who would even think quitting might be an idea worth trying.  At age 18 I was just getting started, I certainly wouldn't have even tried to hear the message you're at least still reading today.  Now 20 years your senior, I'm thankful for a good dentist checkup  still I'd roll my best friend for a cigar right now.

What really makes this work is the day to day roll call promise you make that you won't use today.  Tomorrow's a bright shiny new day  can take care of itself.  You just have to worry about today because you promised an awesome group of guys that you could manage just that, guys who are counting on you  going through the same shit you are.

It does get easier day by day, but it's not easy no matter what you try.  Should you try easing off for a week or so, I hope we see you back posting on the board where you can get all the help  support possible.  Feel free to PM me for a cell # if you need too.

But beware.  It's easy to put off  say I'm working it,  I don't doubt you are/will in your own way, but your 20s it can be hard to think about your own mortality then when your 30s come around they'll fly by.  You could wind up middle aged before you know it.
I admire mike from Alabama because a few days ago he quit and is nicotine free. You, not so much. I'll give props when you quit and stop using nicotine in any form. I'm a little harder to please. Come back when your ready to quit, we'll be here.
Quitting ain't EASY. There isn't an EASY way out!

This guys was looking for a magic pill or something...

It takes gumption and some accountability!

Come on back when your quit-balls drop!

Like Srans said, we'll be here!

I quit!
I quit with with you all!
